DEAM Team makes October a winning month.
Thanks to the Calgary Employment First Network, its partners, and the Government of Alberta, DEAM 2017 was a big success and continued to build awareness for disability employment.
Here are a few of the highlights:
The City of Calgary proclaimed Disability Employment Awareness Month for the second straight year.
The Province of Alberta declared Disability Employment Awareness Month for the first time in history.
Calgary Economic Development hosted an event where Industry Leaders shared Technologies and Innovations for employees with disabilities.
For the second year, there was a DEAM Film Festival.
A New Conversations Event was hosted by Mount Royal University’s Institute for Community Prosperity.
And 30 Organizations were nominated for the DEAM Employer Awards this year. The winners, announced at the Gala on October 25th, were:
Jubilations Dinner Theatre
Rocky Mountain Analytical.
