September 24 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Virtual event using Zoom

Join Tyra Vedan, Indigenous Employment Strategist from Miskanawah, and Alana Twoyoungmen, Career and Employer Liaison from Stoney Nation Job Centre, at our Employer Strategy Forum to take an important step in supporting Indigenous success in your workplace.

This forum will provide valuable insights into cultivating Indigenous relationships, fostering successful inclusion, and understanding how Indigenous and Western World ideologies impact decision-making.

About the Speakers:

Tyra Vedan is an Indigenous Employment Strategist with Miskanawah, an organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous youth, families, and communities through culturally grounded programs and services. Tyra brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in fostering Indigenous success within various workplace settings.

Alana Twoyoungmen serves as the Career and Employer Liaison at the Stoney Nation Job Centre. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities Indigenous job seekers face, Alana works closely with employers to bridge the gap between Indigenous talent and meaningful employment opportunities. Her expertise lies in creating culturally sensitive workplace environments that support both Indigenous employees and their employers.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Cultivate meaningful Indigenous relationships.

  • Foster an inclusive workplace culture.

  • Understand the impact of diverse ideologies on decision-making.
