Founded in 1963, the Robin Hood Association is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities through high-quality, innovative services rooted in compassion and inclusion.
Operating in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and surrounding areas, Robin Hood Association is the primary provider of disability services in the region. The organization supports both adults and children along with their families, with services delivered by a dedicated team of staff. Volunteers play an integral role in all areas of the organization, from governance and program delivery to fundraising and community engagement.
With a strong foundation in family advocacy and a 60-year history of service excellence, Robin Hood Association remains committed to listening to the voices of the people it serves. From its beginnings in a Sherwood Park home serving 12 students, to the development of schools, adult vocational programs, and community-based housing, the organization has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of the community.
Through collaboration, community support, and an unwavering belief in dignity and inclusion, the Robin Hood Association continues to foster belonging and create opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to thrive.
